Project Lead of MANSIL

The Many Lives of a Snake Goddess Project

The Many Lives of a Snake Goddess Project

I originally trained as an Aegean prehistorian, specifically Minoan Crete.  I now explore how people with sensory impairments interact with art and artefacts in museums.  Congenitally bilaterally deaf, I have been learning BSL for a number of years, and, along with my hearing dog Miley, enjoy access events in museums in London and beyond.

The Many Lives of a Snake Goddess Project

A collaboration with Professor Nicoletta Momigliano (University of Bristol) and Professor Christine Morris (Trinity College Dublin), this project explores these two iconic Minoan figures from their creation to their reception in the present day. One strand of this work is exploring how we communicate about art, taking lead from the MANSIL project.
